I always wanted to be a designer, ever since I won an art contest at age 5. As a lifelong learner,
I continue to challenge myself with new methods and technologies to teach myself how to do it.

I worked at mastering my shading by using color pencil. DMX is mostly monochromatic (red with black and white). To achieve the shades I used dozens of different reds to build and build.

For Kobe Bryant, I wanted to try color pencil clothing and as a sports fan, basketball uniforms offer great shapes as they move with the body.

As a lifelong fan of Three 6 Mafia, I attempted my hand at color pencil patterns with Gangsta Boo’s shirt, belt, and jeans.

Stipple is the art of using dots to create depth, shading, and realism with ink. For Kevin Garnett, I was able to draw forth different depths by increasing or decreasing my dot pattern.

I've always been inspired by biology. When asked by Amy Graves (wife of world famous photographer Trevor Graves) to create something unique for a coffee table book to celebrate Trevor's birthday, I chose the theme of "Courage" and ink to showcase the heart Trevor displayed daily. As a published poet, I wrote a unique poem to accompany the artwork.
